Obituary

Genevia Thomas Strahan Knight
December 29, 1925 - February 25, 2018 



GENEVIA THOMAS STRAHAN KNIGHT, AGE 92 and a resident of McComb died at 9:50 pm Sunday February 25, 2018. She was a native and longtime resident of Washington Parish before moving with family to McComb 10 years ago. Genevia was a member of the New Vision Community Church in Summit, MS. She really enjoyed fishing as a younger woman and loved playing Bingo later in life. She had a special place in her heart for her pet dog Spot.
Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Dorothy and Jimmy Jackson of McComb, MS,; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: James Wilfred Strahan of Franklinton, Ronald Wayne and Marshalene Strahan of Pass Christian, MS; 10 Grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband Aslin Strahan, son Walter Strahan, grandsons Jeremy Jackson, Len Strahan, parents Benjamin Thomas and Pearlie Bass Thomas, 11 sisters and brothers and granddaughter in law Rebecca Sharp Jackson.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton, LA) Thursday March 1st from 5 pm until 9 pm and after 10 am on Friday. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Floyd Davis and Rev. Mike Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the New Vision Community Church Building Fund (2052 Robert Ayers Road, Summit, MS 39666).
