Bruce Dalton "Seedy' Miller
June 28, 1950 - February 26, 2018



Bruce Dalton "Seedy" Miller was born in Bogalusa, LA on June 28, 1950. He was a life long resident of Bogalusa, LA and for the last 7 years he lived in Hattiesburg, MS. Seedy died on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the age of 67 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was a member and deacon of Southern Baptist Church in Varnado, LA. He graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1968.  From there he served in the United States Air Force, upon returning home he worked for Acuna Upholstery Shop and the Box Plant till it closed. He then attended Sullivan Vo Tech where he got his degree in Carpentry. He built many houses in Bogalusa and surrounding area. But his real love was building cabinets.
He is survived by his wife, Lauren Bailey Miller; a son, Toby Lee Miller; a daughter, Terri Miller Rachel (J. B.); brother, Donnie Miller (Debbie); and a half sister, Angel Miller all of Bogalusa, LA; two grandsons, Taylor Miller of MS, and Kaleb Miller of Franklinton, LA; two granddaughters, Erin and Leah Rachel of Bogalusa, LA; a very special friend from Hattiesburg, MS; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Carter McMillan; and his step-father, Aubrey McMillan; his sister, Susan LaJune "Sissy" Miller; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Stanley P. and Dorothy Bailey.
There will be Graveside Services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 for family and friends in the American Legion Post #24 Veterans Cemetery in Ponemah Cemetery with Full Military Graveside Services by he Magic City American Legion Post #24.
Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
