Lucille Simmons Smith
July 24, 1930 - May 13, 2017 


Lucille Simmons Smith, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on May 13, 2017 at The Guest House of Slidell. She was born in Lexie, Miss. on July 24, 1930.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Smith, her parents Willie Leon Simmons, Sr. and Mary Johnson Simmons, brothers Willie Leon Simmons, Jr., R.B. Simmons, sisters Bonnie Lou and Betty Joyce Simmons, Christine Sellier and Ruth Miller.
She is survived by her sons Greg (Connie) of Baton Rouge, La., Jeff (Rene') of Denham Springs, La and Allen (Sandy) of Sevierville, Tenn., seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 P.M. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Keith Sheridan and Rev. Dennis Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
