Johnnie Lou Crain Ard
March 16, 1934 - May 12, 2017

JOHNNIE LOU CRAIN ARD, AGE 83 and a resident of McComb, MS died Friday night May 12, 2017. She was a native of Washington Parish, LA and former longtime resident of the Dexter Community. Johnnie worked for many years at the garment plant in Tylertown while also having a successful family dairy farm. Alongside her husband and family, she operated Ard’s Seafood in Sheridan for many years. Johnnie liked to plant a garden and can vegetables and also liked to watch her favorite Western TV shows. She always enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Survived by: 2 Daughters and Spouses: Janet and John Shores of McComb, Jackie Johnson and Matt Williams of Biloxi; 4 Grandchildren and Spouses: Rocky and Melissa Shores, Joshua and Katelyn Shores all of McComb, Jocelyn and Daniel Davis, Lori Ann and Kortland Pittman all of Franklinton; 6 Great-grandchildren: John Michael Shores, IV, William Shores, Sophia Shores, Scarlett Shores, Keegan Shores, Clayton Davis; 3 Sisters and Brothers in law: Vivalene Branch of Picayune, Hulene and Daniel Bryant of Bogalusa, Sue and Walt Burris of Franklinton; 2 Brothers and Sisters in law: Joe and Glenda Crain of Franklinton, Ted and Martha Crain of Pine; Sister in law: Elsie Crain; Special Friends: Lenina Allen and Lataeja Martin; Also numerous nieces and nephews
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday May 15th from 5 pm until 9 pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday at Centerville Missionary Baptist Church near Dexter, MS from 10 am until 2 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
