At the Washington Parish Council meeting Monday (February 13, 2017) evening, the continuing litter problem was emphasized. The problem is discussed often by Parish President Richard Thomas and councilmen. Road Supervisor Donnell Merritt's report included the fact that 367 bags of garbage had been picked up during the month. President Thomas then elaborated on the problem.
