Bogalusa Councilwoman Gloria Kates has written a "Thank You" letter to those who responsible for garnering assistance to repair damages to cemeteries that occurred during last year's flooding events. During the January 17, 2017 meeting of the Bogalusa Council, Melvin Abrams pointed out the disrepair that existed at Bogalusa Cemetery. After reaching out to the Louisiana Attorney General's Office, an assessment team arrived in Bogalusa on January 25th, and on Feburary 7th Ryan Seidemann (from the AG's office) provided the good news that FEMA help is available and how to access it.
