Jacqueline "Jackie" Dugas

March 8, 1931 - October 24, 2020

On October 24, 2020, Mrs. Jacqueline “Jackie” King Dugas passed away peacefully in her home in Bogalusa, LA.

She is survived by her husband Rudy Dugas, the thirty eight years he spent with her were the best years of his life. One daughter, Diana Boleware (Bill Boleware); one sister, Lucille Rayborn; one grandchild, Richard Boleware (Deborah Boleware); four great-grandchildren, Kallie Boleware Breland (Zack Breland), Kalin Boleware Lindsey (Tyler Lindsey), Blake Boleware (Hannah Boleware), and Garrett Boleware; four great-great-grandchildren, Paisley Breland, Titus Breland, Stella Lindsey, and Hadley Boleware; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a spouse, Cloyd King; her parents, Monroe and Doris Stevenson; a grandson, Russell Boleware (Kathi Boleware); one brother, Homer Stevenson, and four sisters, Wilma Mitchell, Marigayle Cooper, Carol Turner, and Linda Kirkland.

Mrs. Jackie was a life-long resident of Bogalusa, LA., and retired after 28 years at the bag factory. She loved flowers, gardening, watching her grandson Russell’s cows, and spending time with her dogs, Buddy and Miley. She spent many years enjoying the company of her special family friends Archie & Ronald Mapes. However, her favorite times were being entertained by her great-great grandchildren, Paisley, Titus, and Stella. She was also blessed to see the youngest great-great-grandchild, Hadley.

Pallbearers: Richard Boleware, Blake Boleware, Garrett Boleware, Zack Breland, Tyler Lindsey, Chris Varnado, Chad King.

Honorary: Ronald Mapes, Archie Mapes, (Russell Boleware)

Services will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana on October 27, 2020. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:30 PM. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
