Covington-area Man Wanted For Lacombe Shooting

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Covington-area man who is wanted following a shooting that occurred Sunday (October 4, 2020) night in the Lacombe area. At approximately 10:00 p.m. Sunday, STPSO deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 25000 block of West Spruce Street in Lacombe in reference to a shooting.

Responding deputies located two males with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victims told deputies an acquaintance, Patrick Amos, had shot them while he was arguing with one of the victims outside of the residence.Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Patrick Amos (21) on two counts of Aggravated Aggravated Second-degree Battery and one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Amos resides in the Covington area.

Anyone with information about the crime and/or Amos’ whereabouts is asked to call the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 898-2338 or 911.

“Gun violence will not be tolerated in St. Tammany Parish,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “Our detectives will continue to work tirelessly to make sure individuals responsible for crimes like this are apprehended and held accountable.”
