Shelton James Hano
October 27, 1977 - July 29, 2020
Shelton James Hano, age 42 and a resident of Franklinton, died Wednesday evening July 29, 2020 after a tragic accident. He was a former driver for Circle L Trucking and currently was self-employed as a tree cutter, where he could use his love of climbing. Shelton enjoyed going to the river and collecting arrowheads. He liked to work on fixing things with his sons and making wood-burning artwork. Shelton always enjoyed Bar-B-Ques and cookouts and spending time with his family.
Survived by: 3 Children: Autumn Hano and Austin Harper, Matthew Hano, Mayson Hano all of Franklinton; Wife: Melissa Levatino Hano of Kenner; Step-children: Joshua Schliegelmeyer and fiancé Ashley Sharp, Justin Schliegelmeyer, Jamie Schliegelmeyer and Treandis Walker; Step-grandchildren: Charles Hunter Schliegelmeyer, Emery Rose Schliegelmeyer, Kahlani Jordan Schliegelmeyer; And expected grandchild Creightin Lane Schliegelmeyer; Father: Samuel Magee of Pass Christian, MS; Grandmothers: Bernice Sumrall, Betty Crankshaw; Brothers: Aston Brecheen, Dustin Hano, Myles Hano; Sister: Amy Brecheen; Mother of his Children: Natasha Martin; Also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Lena Brecheen and Earnest Brecheen, Lloyd Hano, grandfathers James Sumrall and Clyde Magee, uncle Wendell Sumrall.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday August 3rd from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Monday with Rev. Walter Mixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek.
