Tropical Storm Isaias is currently located about 580 miles SW of the mouth of the Mississippi River and moving ENE at 8 MPH with 40 MPH maximum sustained winds. Rapid strengthening is forecast over the next day or two, and Isaias is expected to become a hurricane by Thursday. A turn toward the NE and N is expected Thursday and Friday.
