Nercille V. Jefferson 

October 2, 1952 — October 17, 2026

Nerville V. Jefferson was born on October 2, 1952. To the late Elder Luke Varnado and the late Lucille V. Weary.

At an early age, Nercille became active in church until her death.

Nercille received her education from Bogalusa High School, class of 1970. Nercille united in marriage to Eddie H. Jefferson and to this union three children were born; one son and two daugthers.

In her spare time she enjoyed going to church, visiting family and friends and mostly watching her favorite sport games. She also enjoyed cooking her well known “Gumbo” that many loved to eat. She was a loving and caring person with such a BIG heart.

She leaves to cherish her memoires, three children, Errol L. Varnado, Sr., Tashona (Joshua) Owens, and CaTresa L. Jefferson; seven grandchildren, La’Desha Carrier, Joe May, Jr., Arkeysia Jefferson, Deroldrick Jefferson, Errol Varnado, Jr., Tellis Williams, Jr. and the late Quanta Peters, Jr.; nine great grandchildren, Keirstin, Mahkenzie, Kelsi, Atticus, Brayden, Joe III, Quanta III, Keirlyn, and Jakadence; two sisters, Delores V. and Bobbie B.; three brothers, Emile V., Lamar V., and Larry V.; and a host of family and friends.

She was proceded in death by her husband, Eddie H. Jefferson; her parents, Elder Luke V. and Lucille W.; one sister, Dorothy V.; three brothers, Luke, Jr., Donald V., and Antonio V.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home 809 East Third Street, Bogalusa, LA 70427. Interment will be held at the Robinson Cemetery.
