Tropical Disturbances Today

Of the two disturbances in the tropics, neither are a threat to our area

Disturbance 1. Tropical Storm Hanna is located about 1085 miles ENE of Bermuda and moving ESE at 15 MPH with maximum sustained winds of 45 MPH. Hanna is forecast to turn ENE by the latter part of this week and become a post-tropical cyclone. There are no hazards affecting land and of no threat to our area.

Disturbance 2. Tropical Storm Fay is located about 1465 miles WSW of the Azores and moving SW at 13 MPH with maximum sustained winds of 40 MPH. Some weakening is expected during the next day or so, and Fay is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone within 36 hours. There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect and of threat to our area.
