With this change, we are renewing our commitment to building and preserving strong, stable communities and homes for families in need. Our mission remains the same, but our new name reflects our expanded reach into Washington Parish and dedication to serving the Northshore West region. We are excited for this new chapter and look forward to continuing our work with the support of our volunteers, donors, and community partners. Yesterday (August 31, 2026), it was announced "We are thrilled by a successful breakfast gathering in Bogalusa, where community leaders came together to support Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West's expansion into Washington Parish. The event was filled with inspiring conversations and shared commitment to creating affordable housing solutions for those in need. This collaboration marks the beginning of a new chapter in building a better future for Washington Parish residents. Together, we are laying the foundation for a stronger, more united community that values and prioritizes safe and stable housing for all. HUGE thank you to Washington Parish Economic Development Foundation - WPEDF for hosting this event!! Tomorrow is a day of exciting news as we officially announce the new name of our affiliate following our merger with Washington Habitat for Humanity.
