Charles B. "Chico" Sanders
October 16, 1969 - August 15, 2026
Charles B. “Chico” Sanders peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the age of 56. He was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana. Chico was a skilled craftsman who excelled in construction. He enjoyed the outdoors; you’d often find him hunting or fishing in his spare time. He decorated his home with the trophies of his hunting expeditions. Above all, he was a loving father and grandfather who absolutely adored his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Chico was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Wells.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his children: Christina Sanders, Brittany Miller, Shanna Sanders, Chloe Jarrell, and Jacob Freeman; grandchildren: Tyronne Brinson, Payton Rogers, Shanya Sanders, Bryson Rogers, Draco Sanders, Kamarleigh Brister, Justin Thomas, Jr., Jaliyah Sanders, KhaiLani Brister, Joseph Thomas, and Sutton Freeman; his brother, Robert Hodge; and numerous cousins.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Pounds Cemetery with Curtis Brister, Byron Johnson, James Meyn, Mike Meyn, Earl Seal, and Kerry Rogers serving as pallbearers.
