Harry Joseph Ory

Harry Joseph Ory, a resident of Franklinton, Louisiana, passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 96. He was born on August 5, 1929, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Charles Didier Ory and Aline Marie Millet Ory.
Harry was the beloved husband of Brigitte Paetzold Fradella Ory and loving father of Eric (Vicki), Ingrid (Mitchell), Aaron (Mary), and Gregory. He was a proud grandfather to Jonathan (Sarah), Riley, Cooper, Evelyn, Owen, Joshua, and Miles.
Harry retired from the Carpenters Local and was a talented inventor and poet. He was also known for helping create the original Mr. Bingle puppet and puppet show in 1948, a beloved New Orleans tradition.
A faithful servant of Jehovah, Harry was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1941 at the age of 12. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor, always making others laugh, and for the love and kindness he shared with many.
Harry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. The family finds comfort in the Bible’s promise of the resurrection and the hope of seeing him again in God’s promised new world.
