Obituary

George Earl Bullock

March 28, 1950 - July 2, 2026

George Earl Bullock, age 76 and a resident of the Stoney Point Community, passed away Thursday evening July 2, 2026 at his home. He was a Class of 1968 graduate of Franklinton High School, where he was a member of the Demons football team. Earl worked alongside his family for many years in the dairy business, operating Bullock Brothers Dairy. During this time, he was also a rural mail carrier for the United States Post Office in Franklinton for 37 years, serving different routes over the years, all throughout Washington Parish. He was a longtime member of Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church. Earl was a dedicated and successful Dixie Youth Baseball coach for many years and always loved attending all the different events or sports his children and grandchildren participated in. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoyed bird and dove hunting, even on horseback as a younger man, and he really loved hog and rabbit hunting, always keeping a large pack of good beagles that he liked to hear chase. Spending time in the woods with his family and friends truly brought him joy and memories to last a lifetime. Lately, Earl enjoyed taking care of his garden and working on his property every chance he could. He was always a loving and committed husband, father and grandfather that cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
