Mary June Thomas Beall

March 10, 1949 - July 25, 2026

Mary June Thomas Beall, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on March 10, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Mary lived a life rooted in faith, family, and unconditional love. She was a proud graduate of Pine High School, Class of 1967. She was the heart of her family—a steady source of strength, wisdom, and encouragement. To those who knew her, she was the rock everyone could lean on, and her legacy of love will continue for generations.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Denman Darul Beall. She also leaves behind her beloved children: Juana Forbes (Bo), Monica Barber, Beth Beall, and Lance Beall (Darla).

She was affectionately known as “Mi-Maw” to her treasured Grand-Darlings: Brandon Holubar, Victoria Holubar, Mallory Beaird (Hunter), Cole Forbes (Sydney), Raylyn Dailey (Kyle), Garrett Beall, Wesley Beall, Jesse Beall, Krisstina Ashburn, Hayden Barber, and Justin Crumholt (Liz).

Her legacy continues through her cherished Great-Grand-Darlings: Nevaeh Warren, Oakley Ashburn, Khailor Ashburn, Harlan Ashburn, Sage Beall, Barrett Beaird, Henry Forbes, Alyssa Coley (Dekotah), Beau Payne, Jr. Payne, Gracie Crumholt, Barrett Crumholt, and Bella Crumholt; and her Great-Great-Grand-Darlings, Jeremiah Coley and the eagerly anticipated arrival of Waylon Dailey. Mary is also survived by her sister, Deborah T. Stuart (Eld. Mike), sisters-in-law Leona Thomas, Cheryl Thomas, Cathy Thomas, a special niece Gwendolyn Seals Hunt, numerous other nieces and nephews and her beloved church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd Thomas Sr. and June Heskett Thomas; her brothers, Lloyd L. Thomas Jr., Royce A. Thomas, Nollie S. Thomas, Lloyd T. Thomas; and her sisters, Ann M. Thomas Kindler, Rosetta T. James, Bertie Von Stewart, and Ruth Marie Thomas Seals.

A faithful member of Acys Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Mary loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was evident in the way she cared for others, welcomed everyone into her home, and lived each day with kindness and generosity.

Mary found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved singing, fishing, attending church, canning, sewing, quilting, and crocheting blankets for each of her Grand-Darlings. She delighted in watching hummingbirds gather outside her home, finding beauty and peace in God’s creation. She cherished family reunions, crawfish boils, traveling, and celebrating Christmas, which was her favorite holiday. She was famous among family and friends for her almost world-famous chicken and dumplings, homemade fudge, and peanut butter balls—recipes that brought everyone together around her table.

When her Grand-Darlings came to visit, they knew exactly what to expect—before anything else, Mi-Maw expected hugs and kisses. It was her special way of reminding each one just how deeply they were loved, and no one left her home without knowing they were cherished.

Mary also had a gift for reading maps—though her family often joked that only those who didn’t mind getting a little lost should let her navigate. Her sense of humor, warm heart, and beautiful smile could light up any room and brought comfort and laughter to everyone around her.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, Mary’s love, faith, traditions, and unwavering devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her legacy will continue through the many lives she touched.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday July 27th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Tuesday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 am Tuesday with Eld. Duane Ball, Eld. Lerand Hunt, Eld. David Barber and Eld. Mike Stuart officiating. Burial will follow in the Acys Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
