Betty Sue Dillon Watson
May 13, 1939 - June 16, 2026
Betty Sue Dillon Watson, age 87 and a a resident of Mount Hermon, passed away Tuesday night June 16, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was retired after a long career working alongside her family at Watson Refrigeration. Betty was a longtime active member of Mount Hermon United Pentecostal Church, that truly loved the Lord and her church family. She loved to plant a garden every year to grow gorgeous vegetables. Betty often put up and canned her vegetables to later share with family and friends. She also enjoyed making different types of jellies. She was known as a wonderful cook, especially her pound cake, and loved to host big dinners for her family and friends. Betty was forever a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Hermon; Son and Daughter in law: Reggie and Michelle Watson of Franklinton; Grandchildren and Spouses: Josh Hughes, Cody and Pattyce Hughes, Haley and Josh Seal, Britt and Kaitlin Watson, Kendall and Kori Watson, Allison and Gage Tervalon, Jonathan Crain; Great-grandchildren: Raylee, Lucy, Micah, Aspen, Henry; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Juretta and Allen Boyd, Willie Nell McKenzie; Sister in law: Bobbie Dillon; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Watson, husband Ray Watson, parents Carl Dillon and Lucy Hill Dillon, brothers Bill Dillon, Larry Dillon and other family members.
Visitation will be at Mt. Hermon Pentecostal Church (37300 Sunny Hill Road, Mt. Hermon, LA 70450) on Friday June 19th from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12:00 pm Friday with Rev. Randall Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to the Mt. Hermon UPC Building Fund at the address above.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to her caregiver Lisa Ann Miller for all the loving support she provided Betty and also to Kasey Brown for assisting the family during these final days.
