Frankie Faye Thomas
December 9, 1935 - June 24, 2026
Frankie Faye Thomas, a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at St. Tammany Parish Hospital on Wednesday morning June 24, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on December 9, 1935 in Tylertown, MS, Frankie was the beloved daughter of Frank and Evie Dillon and married to John Dewey Thomas for 70 years.
A graduate of Thomas High School and Southeastern Louisiana College, Frankie taught home economics at Thomas High School for 20 years and touched the lives of many young girls with the example she set for them. After retirement, Frankie continued working with her husband at their family business, Case Tractor, in Franklinton.
Frankie is survived by a son and daughter in law David and Dawanna Thomas. She dearly loved her two grandchildren John Matthew Thomas and Jessica Alice Thomas. Frankie was an active member of Thomas First Baptist Church for 56 years. She enjoyed making flower arrangements for the church services and was active in the WMU and other volunteer activities for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Dewey Thomas, her parents Frank Dillon and Evie Thomas Dillon, her father in law and mother in law Commodore and Marie Thomas and other family members.
A service to honor and celebrate Frankie’s life will be held on Monday June 29, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am at Thomas First Baptist Church with the funeral at 1:00 pm with Bro. Harold Gaddy and Bro. Duane Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Tammany Hospital, Hospice and Aston Court Assisted Living in McComb, MS.
In lieu of flowers, Frankie requested that memorial donations be sent to the Thomas Cemetery (c/o Nicole Caldwell, 51822 Lawrence Creek Road, Franklinton, LA 70438).
Pallbearers for the service are Randy Branch, Clay Thomas, Cole Thomas, Isaac Barber, Samuel Thomas, Todd Blackwell
