Bobby Earl Thomas, Sr., age 85 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026 at his residence. He loved time spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a faithful church member. He was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and going to auctions.
Survived by: 2 Sons and a daughter in law: Bobby E. Thomas, Jr. and Tekie, Rocky Thomas; Daughter and son in law: Pamela and Aadron Tagert; 6 Grandchildren: Jessica and Colby Williams, Kayla Thomas, Miranda Thomas and Austin Hunt, Jonathon Tagert, April Tagert, Ethan Smith; 8 Great grandchildren: Aria, Chira, Kayson, Aurora, Branson, Jude, Jett, Olivia; 2 Brothers and sisters in law: James W. and Peggy Thomas, Benjamin Cauley and Agnes Thomas; Sister: Eddie Pearl Wood; Numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife Chinesa Martin Thomas, his parents Cauley Troy and Viola O’Bryant, grandson Robbie Gerald, an infant sister Hazel Thomas and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 5 PM until 9 PM. Visitation will continue after 11 AM until time of funeral service to be held at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bobby Smith and Bro. Richard Magee officiating. Burial will follow in the Cauley Thomas Cemetery.
