Marcia Ann Miller Bickham

June 2, 1938 - June 27, 2026

Marcia Ann Miller Bickham, age 88, received her reward in heaven on June 27, 2026 while a resident of Williamsburg Senior Living in Baton Rouge. Marcia was born in Franklinton on June 2, 1938 at the home of her grandparents – Adnell and Carrie Fisher.

She was a 1956 graduate of Franklinton High School. While in High School she was a member of the FHS Marching Band as a majorette. Marcia was also voted by her graduating classmates as most polite. She belonged to the FHA and the FBLA. She was selected to attend the Pelican Girls State Leadership Conference at LSU. Marcia graduated 3rd in her class and won the DAR award for American History. As a young girl she was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal

After graduation she attended Spencer Business College of Baton Rouge and obtained a degree in Business Administration.

Marcia attended Springhill Baptist Church playing the piano and organ.

She married her high school sweetheart , John Larry Bickham, on April 28, 1957. Their marriage lasted 57 years until his death.

While living in Franklinton she was an accountant for Bickham Chevrolet, Washington Bank and Shelby Mizell CPA firm.

After adding 3 children to their marriage the couple relocated to Greenwell Springs. La. Marcia continued her accounting work for several car dealerships and legal offices after the move.

She was a member of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, Sandy Creek Baptist Church where she once again played the piano and organ.

Upon the retirement of Marcia and John they returned to Franklinton. They built a home on the property of her grandparents where she was born. While living back in Franklinton she attended 1st Baptist Church as well as becoming their accountant. In her spare time she enjoyed being a member of Franklinton gardening clubs.

Later on they relocated to Denham Springs to be closer to their children where she was a member of 1st Baptist of Denham Springs La.

Survived by: Son and daughter in law: Patrick and Ashleigh Bickham; 2 Daughters and sons in law: JoHannah and Keith Stroud, Lynn and Michael Bienvenu all of Denham Springs; Grandchildren and spouses: Jeremy Stroud, Jonathan and Claire Nunez, Howard and Crystal Stroud, Carrie and Brannan Webb, Jr., Erin Grace Bickham, John Luke Bickham, Taylor Bienvenu; Great grandchildren: Aubrey, Amelia, Gabriel, Clementine, Kaitlyn, Caden, Emmett, Brannan, III, Briggs, Grayson, Miller, Aiden, Jaxon, Ryder; Sisters in law: Shirley Miller, Sarah Bryant Riley

She was preceded in death by her husband John Larry Bickham, great- granddaughter Adelyn Ammons, her parents Joseph Olan and Ruby Irene Fisher Miller, brother Charles Miller, father in law and mother in law John Leslie and Ruby Bickham, sister in law Donna Pearl Crowe, nephew Christopher Miller and other family members.

Visitation will be Crain Funeral Home on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 10 AM until 11 AM. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel at 11 AM with Burial will follow in the Ellis Cemetery.
