Jakyren (Bo Bo) Ladner

October 17, 1999 — June 19, 2026

With profound sadness and immeasurable love, we announce the passing of our beloved son, uncle, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend Jakyren Ladner, who departed this life on June 19, 2026, at the age of 26. Jakyren was a true original legend—a young man whose presence could light up a room and whose heart was larger than life. He loved deeply, cared for others without hesitation, especially his family, he possessed a strength that inspired everyone who knew him.

Jakyren had a deep love for music. Music was part of who he was, and he enjoyed writing his own music and expressing himself through his words. One of his favorite moments was sharing his music with his mom and brothers, letting them listen and be a part of something that came from his heart. His creativity, passion, and love for music will always be remembered as a special part of who he was.

Though he faced many challenges throughout his life, he met them with courage, resilience, and determination. Known for his love of the color black and blue his unique sense of style, Jakyren walked his own path and left a lasting impression on all who crossed it. He was more than a son, family member, and friend—he was a legend in the hearts of those who loved him. His kindness, humor, and unforgettable spirit will continue to live on through the countless memories he created. 

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Jonell Pigott; great grandmother, Althea Pigott; great grandparents, Clarence and Myrtis Harris; his uncles, Micheal Harrington, Christopher Harris, Jesse Ladner, and Lavern Ladner.

Jakyren was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by his mother, Yolanda Lee, and step-father Darren (Mr. Lil Bit) Lee of Bogalusa, LA; he will sadly be missed by his brothers, Ja’myren Ladner, Terry Burnette Jr, and Latrevious Lucas all of Bogalusa, LA; two sisters, Malaysia Pigott, of Baton Rouge, LA and Eliana Pigott, of Bogalusa, LA; two best friends whom he looked up to as brothers, Herman Thomas of Houston, Texas and Kentrell Gaulden of Millcreek, Utah; a best friend, he looked up to as sisters, Blayne Bowman, of New Orleans, LA, and Kanay Johnson, of Baton Rouge, LA; his loving grandmother, Gloria Ladner of Bogalusa, LA; his grandfather, Robert (Etta) Magee, of Franklinton, LA; a special cousin, Jhyman Jackson, of Bogalusa ,LA; four aunts, Marquitta Pigott, of Bogalusa, LA, Adawndria (Kenneth)Magee of Kileen, TX, Brandi Donnaud, of Franklinton, LA, a special aunt, Remona Ladner , of Bogalusa, LA; 3 uncles, Tre May, of Houston, TX, and Richard Pigott of Bogalusa, LA, Jason (Nicole) Ladner of South Carolina; two nieces, Novah Allen of Independence, LA, and Honesty Burnette, of Franklinton, LA; three nephews, Jalen Brumfield of Hammond, LA and Ja’myren Ladner Jr, of Slidell, LA, Yamari Lucas, of Bogalusa, LA; 10 great -aunts, Hazel (Mike) Harrington, Christine (Ralph) Graves, Lovie(Ronald) Torregano, and Aline Silas, Jaunita (Jesse) Ladner, Faye Pigott, Kayla Holmes, Slyvia Richardson, Yvonne Taylor all of Bogalusa, LA, and Beverly (Saul) Davis of Sacramento, CA; 4 great uncles, Clarence Harris, Donell Pigott, Jeffery Pigott all of Bogalusa, Ladell Ladner, of Mount Herman, LA, Gerald Jackson, of Angie, LA, and Tommie Silas of Foxworth, MS; a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, family and friends who cherished every moment spent with him. The love he gave and the joy he brought into the lives of others will never be forgotten.

While our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, strength, and compassion will endure forever. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit remains with us every day.

A Legend Never Dies. His Story Lives On.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 10:00AM – 12:00PM followed by funeral service at 12:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Bogalusa, LA 70427. Interment - Bogalusa Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
