Benson Silas Brady

December 1, 2012 - June 20, 2026

Benson Silas Brady, age 13 and a resident of Kentwood, Louisiana, went to his Heavenly home on Saturday June 20, 2026 following an automobile accident. He, his family and friends were all returning home from a youth camp in Arkansas. Benson was a cowboy through and through, all the way down to the large golden belt buckle he wore all the time. Benson loved riding any animal that he could get on and often wore a large cowboy hat, almost as big as him. He enjoyed coon and deer hunting, but especially loved duck hunting. Benson liked fishing, playing golf and anything involving being outside in God’s beautiful outdoors. He was a member of Lifeway Apostolic Church in Kentwood that dearly loved all his youth group friends and church family. Benson will be forever remembered for his cowboy spirit and the deep love he had for his family and others.

He is survived by: Parents: Rev. Tim Brady and Miranda Bryant Brady of Kentwood; Brother: Jay Brady; Sister: Mariah Brady; Grandparents: Jerry and Susan Brady of Oak Grove, AR; Uncles and Aunts: Jerry Brady, Jr. and Jodie Brady, Susan and Nathan Holloway, Sherry and Adam Bordelon, Mitchell and Lynette Bryant, Uncle and Aunt Thrasher; Also survived by numerous cousins, many dear friends and his church family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Silas Bryant and Gertrude Barber Bryant and other family members.

Visitation will be at First Apostolic Church of Liberty, Mississippi (388 West Freedom Drive, Liberty, MS) on Saturday June 27th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Saturday.

Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.
