Katie Lee Barber Brady

June 14, 2004 - June 20, 2026

Katie Lee Barber Brady, age 22 and a resident of Kentwood, Louisiana, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday June 20, 2026 following an automobile accident. She was the youth leader at Lifeway Apostolic Church in Kentwood. She was returning home from serving the Lord, and her beloved children, at a camp in Arkansas. Katie dearly loved all the young people she had the privilege to mentor and grow in their faith. She was an excellent cook and baker, especially her delicious cinnamon rolls, homemade bread and sweets for the holidays. Katie loved spending time in the outdoors with her husband, and really liked videoing the pranks and tricks she pulled on him all the time. She enjoyed thrift shopping and traveling. Katie will be forever remembered for her kindness to the young people of her church and the deep love she had for her family and others. She lived her life fully working in the Kingdom of God

She is survived by: Husband: Jay Brady of Kentwood; Parents: John Barber and Bridgette Gilmore Barber of Tylertown, MS; Sisters and Brothers in law: Kalyn and Blake Devall, Haley and Marvin Raymundo; Nephews and Nieces: Kaden, Wes, Jay, Everly, Tucker, Evelyn and a soon expected niece Cambrie Kate; Grandparents: Donnie and Delories Gilmore of Sumrall, MS, Natalie Brumfield of Franklinton; Uncles and Aunts: Joshua Gilmore, Jacob and Aprile Gilmore, Vince and Melinda Barber, Matthew Barber, Bradley and Megan Barber; Father in law and Mother in law: Rev. Tim Brady and Miranda Bryant Brady; Sister in law and longtime best friend: Mariah Brady; Also survived by numerous cousins, many dear friends and her church family

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Wesley Barber, aunt Cindy Barber, uncle Caleb Gilmore and other family members.

Visitation will be at First Apostolic Church of Liberty, Mississippi (388 West Freedom Drive, Liberty, MS) on Saturday June 27th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Saturday.

Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.
