Oscar Lee Singleton, age 81 was born on May 14, 1945 in Mount Hermon, LA and departed this earthly home on Monday, June 22, 2026. He was educated in the Mount Hermon, LA school system.
Oscar was the loving father of Stephon Martin, Bessie Reed, Oscar Singleton, Jr., Kirby Johnson, Cedric Martin and Tammy Brumfield. Beloved brother of Louise Singleton and Earline Johnson. He was also survived by 19 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces, and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Singleton and Mabell Singleton; his children Darius Stokes, Sr., Alex Tate, Andre Tate, and 2 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70113 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Private Burial.
