Delores June Painter Lambert

July 1, 1956 - May 4, 2026

Our beloved Delores, age 69 and of Sunnyhill, Louisiana, closed her eyes peacefully and left this world with her family by her side, Monday, May 4, 2026, at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington, Louisiana. She was born Sunday, July 1, 1956, in Tylertown, Mississippi to Cecil and Leatte Painter.

Delores was a devoted wife and a cherished member to her family and community who found great joy in the simple things in life. She grew up on the family farm with a large family surrounded by love, faith and Christian values. She loved music, especially gospel songs by Elvis, jewelry and collecting family photos that she dearly cherished. She looked forward to her daily trips with her husband, Daniel, to town to get her mocha or sweet tea and a couple of newspapers. She will be forever cherished and remembered by all that was privileged enough to know her.

Survived by: Mother: Leatte Bahm Painter; Husband the love of her life and best friend: Daniel Lambert; Son: Samuel Andrew Martinez; Grandchildren: Riley, Colton, Olivia, Korbyn; Brothers and sister-in-law: Donald Painter, Ernie Painter, David and Kim Painter; Sisters and brothers in law: Doris and Tommy Mitchell, Lynn and Ott Hayden, Kay and Keith Dedon, Becky Graham; Also, numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends including her Husband, Daniel's entire family.

She was preceded in death by her father Cecil Painter and her mother-in-law Thelma Lambert.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9:00 am until 12 noon. A funeral service will be held at Noon in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Brent King, Bro. Matt Williams and Rev. Melvin Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in the Painter Family Cemetery, Sunnyhill, Louisiana.
