Lacey Grace Gentry

August 20, 1985 - April 3, 2026

Lacey Grace Gentry, age 40 and of Hayes, Virginia, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026 She was born on August 20, 1985, in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

Lacey was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother whose vibrant spirit and warm heart brought joy and light to everyone around her. Known as the life of the party, she was kind, beautiful, fun, and deeply devoted—truly the best mama and wife. Her laughter, energy, and unconditional love for her family made every gathering brighter and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Lacey earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi and worked as an accountant at Fort Lee, where she took great pride in her work and was respected by her colleagues.

Outside of her career, Lacey found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She loved gardening, riding bicycles with her daughters, and cooking spicy Louisiana dishes to share with friends and neighbors. She had a passion for fashion and enjoyed getting dressed up for special occasions. She was also a dedicated volunteer at community events always eager to contribute and bring people together.

She is survived by her loving husband, Travis Gentry, and their cherished daughters, Avery, Harper, and Savannah. She is also survived by her parents, Sheila and David Burge; her father, Richard Labardie; her brother, Marcus (Courtney) Burge; her grandmother, Betty Carroll; and her dear cousins who were more like siblings: Allison Patterson, Marsha Stewart (Lance),and Justin Carroll (Brittany) along with many other extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

Lacey’s life was a beautiful testament to love, generosity, and joy. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. A celebration of life service will be held back in Mississippi at a later date.
