Jerry Bolivar Sheridan
January 11, 1947 - April 12, 2026
Born in Bogalusa, Louisiana, Jerry Bolivar Sheridan lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, and steady service to others. He was a Christian man whose life reflected the values he held dear. Those who knew him best will remember him as loving, funny, and friendly, with a warm presence that brought comfort and ease to the people around him.
Jerry dedicated much of his working life to the safety and well-being of others. He served as a security officer and also as a Pearl police reserve officer, roles that suited his dependable nature and his sense of responsibility to his community. He took pride in serving with integrity and in doing his part to help others feel safe and supported. His work was more than a job to him, and it reflected the character of a man who cared deeply about the people and places around him.
Outside of his work, Jerry found joy in simple pleasures. He enjoyed reading and watching sports, pastimes that gave him both relaxation and enjoyment. He appreciated time spent in quiet reflection as well as the excitement and fellowship that came with following his favorite teams. His interests were a reflection of his balanced nature, and he carried himself with a calm spirit and a good sense of humor that made him easy to be around.
Family was central to Jerry’s life. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy; his son, Phillip; his parents, Bolivar and Dorothy Sheridan and his sister, Sue Magee. He is survived by his sister Marie Sullivan, daughter, Tammy Chamblee; his son-in-law, Brian; and his grandchildren, Kyle and Devin Carter. He also leaves behind many cherished memories and a family who will continue to hold him close in their hearts. The love he shared with his family was deep and enduring, and his presence will be missed in countless ways.
Jerry’s life was one of quiet strength, faithful service, and genuine kindness. He will be remembered for the laughter he shared, the friendship he offered freely, and the love he gave to those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will remain a blessing to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life.
A life well lived leaves behind more than years. It leaves behind examples of character, compassion, and faith. Jerry Sheridan leaves such a legacy. Though he is no longer here in body, the love he gave and the good he did will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A Graveside Service will be held on April 17, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Floral Hills Memory Garden in Pearl, MS
