Delester Smith 

October 16, 1947 – March 29, 2026

Delester Smith, age 78 and a resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away early Sunday morning, March 29, 2026, at Lakeview Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Tabatha Smith of Bogalusa, LA; two sons, DeVandis (Stephanie) Smith of Seattle, WA, and Darrick Smith of Jacksonville, FL; his baby girl, DeWonna (DeAndray) Singleton of Annapolis, MD; two sisters, Glenda (Isaac) Sutts of Carson, CA, and Maxine Wiggins of Varnado, LA; a step-son, Tyrell Pittman of Bogalusa, LA; nine grandchildren, Daniel Earthly, Malachi Singleton, Malik Smith, Jayden Smith, Iyanna Smith, Ahlivia Smith, Brylan Conerly, Ty’Rene Pittman, and Tyrell Pittman, Jr.; one brother-in-law, Denson (Susan) Pittman; two sisters-in-law, Yevone (Stephan) Pigott, and Ivy Lewis; three special friends, Lee Henry, Carlos Peters, and Larry Blackwell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by, his parents, Willie and Lillie Smith; two sisters, Lottie Mae Smith and Ella Mae Smith; three brothers, Bobby Earl Smith, Leonard Ray Smith, and Willie Ester Smith.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 3:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 3:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.
