Linda Burns Barber

December 31, 1950 - April 25, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Linda Burns Barber, who left this world peacefully at her home on Saturday April 25, 2026 at the age of 75. Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. Born in New Orleans on December 31, 1950, Linda lived a life full of love, joy, and selfless giving. She was a longtime active member of Victory Baptist Church and will be remembered for her compassion, her faith and her deep love for her family.

Linda is survived by her daughters and sons in law: Melissa Fussell (Jeffrey), Kayce Singley (Kevin), Jackie Riley (Allen) and son Charlie Barber. Grandchildren: Cassidy, Makenzie, Brittany, Camden, Emma, Katelyn, Cody, Casey and Paige. Great-grandchildren: Everly, Beckham, Braylen, Avery, Brady, Braxton, Bentley. She is also survived by 2 sisters and a brother in law, Missy Corkern (Louis), Bobbi Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Johnathan Barber, mother Iris Todd Burns, father Charles “Bob” Burns, sisters Patricia Weathers, Jean Burns, Berry Stringer and a granddaughter Kelsey.

While our hearts ache with this great of a loss, we are forever grateful for the love and memories Linda shared with us.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday April 28th from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 5:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Gary King officiating.
