Alvin Lawrence Graham
June 2, 1945 - April 25, 2026
Alvin Lawrence Graham was born to Alfred Graham and Tessie Fricke on June 24, 1945. He passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Alvin was married to June Foil for forty-five years. He is survived by his three daughters and sons in law, Dawn White (Allen), Emily Womack (Clint), and Tiffany Edwards (the late Todd). Alvin has deeply missed Todd, who was not only his son-in-law, but also a dear friend. He had seven grandchildren, Corey White, Meagan Graham, Hannah Sparks, Morgan Bond, Mason Wood, Grace McGlothren, and Braden Edwards. Alvin also had fourteen great-grandchildren.
Alvin accepted Jesus and became a child of God in 1972. His greatest desire was for all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to become born-again Christians.
June and Alvin ran a dairy farm for thirty years, and Alvin worked as a rural mail carrier for thirty-nine years. He is lovingly known by his postal crew as “Mr. Bird”, a nickname derived from his early years CB Radio handle “Early Bird”. Alvin really enjoyed being with others. He delighted in coffee with his breakfast crew, and going out to eat with friends and family. With his loyal pet dog and sidekick “Scout” by his side, Alvin rode his four-wheeler daily to visit the mailbox and the pond to feed the fish. He was a devoted student of the Bible and a longtime active member of Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church that spent time studying and writing about God’s word. Alvin spent a great deal of time composing writings that he shared with others to spread the word of God.
Visitation will be at Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church (37038 Hwy. 10, Franklinton) on Tuesday April 28th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11:00 am Tuesday with Bro. Brent King officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Family Cemetery.
