Bobby Earl Dickerson, Sr.

October 18, 1941 — March 15, 2026

On March 15th, 2026 the lord called his child home. Bobby Earl Dickerson, Sr. was born on October 18, 1941 to the late Octavia Coleman and John D. Dickerson.

Bobby attended Vernon High School and at an early age he learned how to milk cows, cut wood, and logging for his daddy. Later he became a demolition expert for numerous years.

Around that time he met the love of his life, Minister Minnie Mae Dickerson. Doing that time Bobby joined Minister Minnie Mae Dickerson in holy matrimony on November 12, 1966. Their union was blessed with seven children, Brigitte Dickerson, Bobby Earl Dickerson, Jr., Cornelius (Cheryl) Dickerson of New Orleans, LA, Toni (Melvin) Doucette; Daughter-in-law, Paulett Ann Brock of Franklinton, LA and the late Corinthians Paul Dickerson, Efrem Brock, Sr. twenty grandchildren, sixty one great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren; one God daughter, Michelle D. Russell. Bobby also leaves sisters and brothers, Annie (Arron) Husey Bakersfield, CA, Kathrine (Daniel) White, Delores Butler, Lester Rue Dickerson, Bobby (Mary) Dickerson, Anthony (Selena) Dickerson of Kentwood, LA, Wanda Dickerson of Baton Rouge, LA, Viola McGee of McComb, MS, Thermon Brock, Jr. of Osyka, MS, Bishop Lawerence (Emma) Brock of New Orleans, LA, Lawyer Brock of Tylertown, MS, Nora Lee Dickerson of Franklinton, LA, Dorothy Brock of Kentwood, LA, Auntie Mabelle Dickerson and Willie Dickerson of Bakersfield, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Bobby is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and his wife, Minister Minnie Mae Dickerson; three sons, Corinthians, Paul Dickerson and Efrem Brock, Sr.; one sister; seven brothers; four sisters-in-law; and one great granddaughter.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church 2063 Shady Grove Road, Osyka, MS 39657 with Bishop Lawrence Edward Brock – Officiating. Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
