Obituary

Paul Daniel Legendre

January 11, 1964 - March 7, 2026

Paul Daniel Legendre passed away peacefully at his home on March 7th, 2026. He was born on January 11th, 1964 to Dolores Hebert H. and Daniel Legendre in Lockport, LA.

He was preceded in death by his younger brother Eric Legendre and his grandparents Emelda and Clarence Hebert and Mary and Horace Legendre.

He is survived by his wife Suzanne LeGlue Legendre, his daughters Alyssia, Olivia, and Emily Legendre, and his stepson Jason LeGlue. Paul is also survived by his parents Dolores and Daniel Legendre, his siblings Deane Pope (Trent), Jaclyn Terrell (Jonathan), Mitchell Legendre (Lorielle), and Gina Legendre (Brien Hollkamp), brother in laws Andrew LeGlue (Christy), Tony LeGlue (Shanon), and Justin LeGlue (Kristin) and sister-in-law Bonnie Truitt (Jason). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well.

Paul graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology and a Master’s degree in business. He made countless friends at the places he worked National Grocery Store, Tidewater Marine, McDermott, C B and I, Avondale and Entergy Nuclear Power plant. He took great pride in his work and being a team player was important to him.

Paul loved technology all his life, starting with CB radios, switching to HAM radios, then finally personal computers. He was a lifelong Saints and Star Wars fan. After his time in the Air Force Reserve was complete, he kept his interest in aircraft alive through PC flight simulators. But most of all, his loved ones will remember him by his jokes and sense of humor. One of his McDermott coworkers recently said, "Paul was the most unique person I ever knew". He was one of a kind, that's for sure.

Paul was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing and sitting around the campfire with his brother Mitchell and other family members as well. Paul and his wife Suzanne were Foster Parents for over 10 years and welcomed 15 children into their hearts and homes.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home, 216 Alabama Ave in Bogalusa, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA.
