Obituary

Tamara Joan Wolf

September 27, 1961 - January 16, 2026

Tamara Joan Wolf (T.J.), age 64 and of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026. Tammy was born on September 27, 1961, in Bayville, New Jersey. She graduated from Interlake High School in Bellevue, Washington, in 1980, and later earned an Associate Degree General Studies from Seattle Community College.

Mardi Gras was her favorite holiday season, just barely edging out Christmas. She made many friends at Heritage Manor in Mandeville, where she spent her final five years making people laugh—and occasionally shake their heads.

Tammy began her working life at Dairy Queen, a job that launched a long and successful career in restaurant management with both Dairy Queen and Burger King. While her professional journey included a variety of interesting roles—including work with a carnival, the Seattle Seahawks, Larry’s Grocery, Washington Mutual, and a bakery—she always found her way back to restaurant management, where her dedication and people-first approach truly shined.

Although Tammy lived in many places throughout her life, including New Jersey, California, and Louisiana, her heart always belonged to New Jersey. She was a Jersey Girl through and through, and she loved it. Her career allowed her to travel extensively across the country, beginning on the East Coast, moving to the West Coast, and eventually settling in the South, touching countless places and people along the way.

Tammy’s greatest accomplishment was her only child, William Wolf, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. Known for her selflessness, she was always willing to help others without hesitation and never expected anything in return. Tammy was a remarkable human being whose kindness left a lasting impact. She will be remembered most for her warm, contagious smile—a smile that will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Tammy is survived by her son, William Wolf, and daughter-in-law, Sara Wolf; her brother, Roy Wolf; her sisters, Kim (Wolf) Owens and Dannielle (Wolf) Mathis; her niece, Randy Owens; Gabrielle (Tarloa) Bannister; her nephews, Anthony Owens and Michael Tarloa; her cousins, George Fetzer, Kenny Hardorn, William Smith, Karen Smith, Linda Smith, and Robin Smith; and her aunt, Joan Fraraccio.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Wolf; her mother, Jacquelyn (Hartdorn) Wolf; her uncle, Randy Hartdorn; her uncle, Bill Smith; and her aunt, Rebecca Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Deutsches Haus, 1700 Moss Street, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
