Washington Parish deputies attempted to perform a traffic stop on a white GMC on Highway 450 near Martin Road earlier Friday (January 2, 2025) morning. The vehicle was believed to be occupied by 26-year-old Timus Martin who has two felony warrants in Washington Parish for aggravated assault with a firearm and aggravated flight from an officer. Martin also has warrants in Walthall County MS and Marion County MS.
Although unclear from the WPSO report, Martin apparently left the vehicle and fled on foot into the woods. A BOLO was issued by WPSO.
Later Friday morning, the WPSO reported that Martin was in custody and expressed their thanks to the Pike County Sheriff's Office, Rayburn Correctional Center and the public for their assistance.
