Shirley Ann Boyette Myers

October 5, 1944 - January 20, 2026

Shirley Ann Boyette Myers was born in Winnsboro, Louisiana, on October 5, 1944, and passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026 at her home in Franklinton, Louisiana. Shirley graduated from South Natchez High School in 1962 and married the love of her life. She spent time raising her family before owning and operating Myers Grocery located north of Franklinton. Shortly after closing the grocery store, she began an in-home daycare service. Throughout this time she provided care for many children in the Franklinton area where she was affectionately known as “Maw Maw Shirley”. Her heart overflowed with happiness whenever she spent time with her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. She also spent time as an active member of the Woodmen of the World as well as serving as Cub Scout Master and assisting with Troop 104 of the Boy Scouts of America in Franklinton.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond V. “RV” Myers of Franklinton; son and daughter-in-law, Raymond II and Sherrie Myers of Franklinton, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Julie Myers of Springfield, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Christy Myers of Robert, LA; six grandchildren, Raymond Myers III (Jackie), Kristi Lynn Jarrell (Steven), Aaron Myers, Jordan Myers, Conner Myers (Kelly), and Cade Myers, seven great grandchildren, Callen, Caroline and Colton Myers and Zoe, Sydney, Kamryn and Taylor Jarrell; and sister-in-law Annie Boyette . She had numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends whom she loved greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Allen and Mamie Bernice Boyette; father in law and mother-in-law, J.J. and Maude Alice Myers; and brother, James Harold Boyette.

She was a member of Stoney Point Baptist Church. Services will be held at Stoney Point Baptist Church (37038 Hwy. 10, Franklinton, LA, 70438). Visitation will be Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:30 pm with Bro. Brent King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family sincerely appreciates the support and prayers from relatives and friends and the care provided by the nurses and staff of St. Tammany Health System Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to the Stoney Point Baptist Church Women's Sunday School Class at the address above.
