Patrick Kermise Williamson
March 17, 1969 - January 26, 2026
It is with profound sadness that the Williamson Family announce the passing of Patrick Kermise Williamson, age 56, born March 17, 1969, and meeting our glorious Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday January 26, 2026.
Patrick was a devoted and faithful servant of our Lord and member, Senior Men’s Sunday School Teacher, and Chairman of Deacons of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. He made it his life’s ministry to serve his family as well as the elderly and homebound of the community and abroad.
Raised in Mount Hermon, Louisiana and son of Charles Thomas Williamson and Margaret Wascom Williamson, he graduated from Mount Hermon High School with his fellow classmates of the Class of1987. Patrick graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University and pursued a career as a Respiratory Therapist. After Hurricane Katrina, he made the decision to forgo his career and return home to care for his parents. After the passing of his father, an immediate need to help the students his father was tutoring arose, and Patrick jumped in to help. Word quickly spread about his ability to teach mathematics, and he was hired by Bowling Green School where he faithfully served as a high school math teacher until his passing.
Patrick is survived by his mother, Margaret Wascom Williamson, A brother, Charles Bradley Williamson, A sister-in-law, Pamela Fontenot Williamson, nieces, Taylor Michelle Williamson Walker, and Elysa Lou Williamson, an uncle Paul Donough Alford, and two aunts Brenda Williamson Alford and Aunt Marie Cothern Wascom; Also survived by numerous cousins and many friends
Patrick was preceeded in death by his father Charles Thomas Williamson, grandparents, Charles Kermise Williamson and Mary Allen Williamson, Doyle Delton Wascom and Ozzie Ott Wascom, and step grandfather, Earmen L. Smith, an uncle, Jerry Malcolm Wascom, and niece, Sarah Elizabeth Williamson.
Visitation will be at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church (41088 Hwy. 438, Mt. Hermon, LA 70450) on Saturday, January 31, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Calvin Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of floral arrangements, memorial contributions be made to the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Benevolence Fund at the address above.
Pallbearers: Church family members Clint Fortenberry, Monroe Fortenberry, Tyler Walker as well as 3 members of his beloved BGS student body, to be determined later.
