Stanley Lydonis Rowell

October 19, 1963 - January 26, 2026

Stanley Lydonis Rowell, age 62 and a resident of the Thomas Community passed away Monday evening January 26, 2026 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a painter that began a long career as a young man working for his uncle T.C. Hunt, before retiring. Stanley enjoyed hunting and had taken a few trips with family and friends to other states, including Colorado for an elk hunt. He always enjoyed spending time with his family, especially around the holidays, and loved eating delicious meals with them every chance he could.

Survived by: Mother: Willie Creel Sheridan of Thomas; Uncle and Aunts: Earl and Carol Creel, Kathy Creel; Niece: Lydonia Randall and her daughter Helena Jones; Also many cousins

He was preceded in death by his father Junior Lydonis Rowell, brother William Ryan Rowell, sisters Lydoris Lowery, Patricia Winona Rowell and his grandparents.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday January 28th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm on Thursday with Rev. Charles Creel and Rev. Thomas Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Jenkins Cemetery on Thigpen Road.
