Obituary

Rawlin Robert "Bob" Stewart

December 10, 1947 - January 9, 2026

Rawlin Robert Stewart, lovingly known as Bob, passed away on January 9, 2026. He was a pillar of strength to his family, a steady presence in times of uncertainty, and a man whose influence will be felt for generations to come.

Bob was a man of deep values: family, faith, and loyalty guided his life. He was relied upon for wisdom and trusted for his judgment. His word carried weight, his love was constant, and his example shaped not only his children, but his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To those who knew him, he was a source of guidance, protection, and unconditional love.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father George Truett Stewart and Selena Loretta Stewart; his siblings, George Fornet, Charles Leslie Stewart, Samuel “Toby” Stewart, and William “Rusty” Stewart; his sons, Shawn Wilton Stewart and Kenneth Ray Stewart; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Alan Venezia III and Cheyenne Gracie Holloman.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carlos Ann Stewart; his sons, Robert Keith Stewart and Andrew Rawlin “AJ” Stewart; his grandchildren, Tasha Stewart Langham; Brittany Suzanne Stewart Bourgoyne (Brandon); Brian Keith Stewart (Autumn); and George Truett Stewart (Madison); and his great-grandchildren, Airabella Venezia, Annabelle Venezia, Hazel Freeman, RemiKate Bourgoyne, Zayden Penton, Ivy Stewart, Hunter Stewart, Nova Stewart, Secret Stewart, Oaklyn Stewart, and Ayden Stewart.

Bob’s legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the values he instilled, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will start at 9AM, Tuesday, January 13, 2025, until time of service at 1PM. Interment will immediately follow at Rester Cemetery in Varnado, LA
