Emma Lee Crain Walker

January 1, 1929 - November 26, 2025

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.“  Revelation 21:4

Emma Lee Crain Walker of Franklinton, LA departed this life at Good Samaritans Nursing Home in Franklinton, LA. November 26, 2025. Emma was one of twelve siblings born to the late Latimore and Myrtis Crain, Sr. on January 01, 1929.

Emma was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a devoted member of Lear Hill Church of God and Christ until her health failed, and she was no longer able to attend. Emma was a Sunday School Teacher, Usher, and she was the Mother of the Church. She was a loyal housekeeper for over 40 years and she was known by many people because she would often give her neighbors and people of the community a ride to work.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two sons, Hilbert (Ruth) Walker of Franklinton, LA and Steven (Veronica) Walker of Franklinton, LA. Three brothers, Latimore (Jerilyn) Crain, Jr of Cerrito, CA, Elijah Crain of Lynwood, CA and Jewell (Bernice) Crain of Franklinton, LA. Four Sisters, Myrtis (Amos) Lee Warren, Essie Singleton all of Franklinton, LA, Betty Jean Jackson and Mildred Anderson both of CA; and a host of Grand Children, Great Grand Children, Great Great Grand Children and many relatives and several friends.      

She was preceded in death by her parents, Latimore and Myrtis Crain; three sons, Levernon "Bo" Walker Sr, Wallace Clay Walker, Jesse Orell Walker, and one daughter, Lee Alice Cain; two brothers, Willie J. Crain, Sr. and Walter Crain; two sisters, Shirley Mae Crain Johnson and Jennie V. Conerly.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 1:00PM – 2:00PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM at Lear Hill Church of God in Christ 43515 Highway 38with Supt. Leslie Fields ~ Pastor Officiating.
