The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (SFM) has arrested 45-year-old April Delaney of Loranger in connection with a deliberately set fire at an occupied mobile home. Both individuals inside the mobile home were able to escape safely and were not injured.
The Husser Fire Department was dispatched today (December 3, 2025) to a residence in the 24000 block of Gliderport Road in Loranger. SFM investigators called to the scene determined the blaze had been intentionally ignited. Their investigation led to April Delaney, who has since been charged with a single count of Aggravated Arson. Investigators have not yet confirmed whether the home was equipped with a functional smoke alarm.
