STPSO Proactive Unit Make Arrest Following Traffic Stop

On Saturday (September 27), while patrolling in the area of Highway 59 near North Lane in Mandeville, detectives assigned to the Saint Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Proactive Enforcement Unit initiated a traffic stop on a blue 2009 Kia Sorento. Detectives identified the driver and passenger as 57 year-old Robert Giraldi and 51 year-old Sherie Quave.  

Pursuant to a vehicle search based on probable cause, the following was discovered and seized from inside the vehicle: 5 grams of Methamphetamine located in multiple containers (found in the immediate area of Quave), 5 grams of Methamphetamine (found in the immediate area of Giraldi), miscellaneous drug paraphernalia (found in the immediate area of both occupants).

The two were arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.

The STPSO Proactive Enforcement Unit is tasked with targeting high-crime areas, deterring illicit activity, and engaging in intelligence-led policing efforts with a focus on disrupting narcotics and firearms-related offenses.
