Dennis Gatlin

March 15, 1961 - October 21, 2025

"To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the Heaven a time to be born
and a time to die." 

Bro. Dennis Gatlin was born March 15, 1961, to the late Clyde and Mattie Gatlin. He departed this life on October 21, 2025 at home with his sister.

Bro. Dennis Gatlin has always been a believer of God. He joined Center Baptist Church where he was baptized at an early age. Dennis sold Christmas trees for many years, worked at Chevrolet and later became a self-employed mechanic. He later married Charlotte Gatlin to which their union bought three sons. Dennis was a great uncle to his nieces and nephews. There was not a dull moment when he was around, he was always telling jokes. 

Bro. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mattie Gatlin; one son, Paris Gatlin; one brother, Mack Magee; and one sister, Etta Peters. 

Bro. Dennis leaves to cherish memories to his kids, Emmanuel, Antoine, Mercedes and Lexis Myi’a; five sisters, Claudia (O.D) Alford, Mattie (Robert) Smith, Vinella Spikes, Joyce (Carl) Scott, Patricia Arlethia Gatlin; two brothers, Clyde (Carla) Gatlin and Kenneth (Patrice) Gatlin; one grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 10:00AM – 12:00PM followed by the funeral service 12:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home 809 East Third Street Bogalusa, LA 70427. Interment will be held at Ford’s Chapel Cemetery in Sandy Hook, MS.
