7 Arrested in Operation Targeting Child Predators

The Slidell Police Department reports that seven people have been arrested in a two-day, multi-agency undercover chat sting operation, targeting online child predators. The operation focused on intercepting adults seeking to exploit minors through digital platforms. 

Undercover investigators posed as a 15-year-old female juvenile in various online chatrooms and social media sites. Over the course of the operation, several individuals engaged in sexually explicit conversations with the undercover officer and arranged to meet the “juvenile”, in person, with the intent of committing sexual acts. A disturbing number of predators took the bait and traveled to Slidell, some from out of state, believing they would be meeting an underage girl.

In one of the most shocking arrests of the operation, Brianna Rielo and Pablo Osorio of Denham Springs arrived in Slidell around 1:20 a.m. to pick up the “15-year-old girl” with plans to engage in a “threesome” and transport her back to Denham Springs. The couple also sent explicit videos of themselves and requested the same from the juvenile. Most disturbing, they brought their two young children (a 3-year-old and a 6-year-old) along with them during the attempted pickup.

All individuals were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Slidell City Jail:

This operation serves as a grim reminder of the dangers lurking behind screens. Parents are urged to closely monitor their children’s use of smartphones, computers, and gaming consoles. Regularly check devices, monitor chat apps, and talk openly with your children about the risks of communicating with strangers online.
