The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) has arrested 18-year-old Laterrious “Bezo” Braziel for a series of gun-related crimes over the past three months. Braziel has been booked him on one count each of Aggravated Assault by Drive-By, Armed Robbery, Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Illegal Discharge of a Weapon and Aggravated Criminal Damage.
On July 20, 2075, TPSO received reports of shots fired in the area of Mashon Road in Independence. While no one was injured, a car and house was hit by the gunfire.
On August 25, 2075, TPSO received a report about a gaming device being stolen at gunpoint at a home on Happywoods Road in Hammond.
On September 17, 2075, TPSO received a report about a man being shot at while driving down Baker Lane in Hammond. He was not injured.
Detectives determined Braziel was the suspect in all three cases.
Today (September 24, 2025l), Braziel was taken into custody at a relative’s house without incident.
