Yvonne Peters Borner
December 24, 1938 - September 16, 2025

Yvonne Peters Borner was born on December 24, 1938, in Varnado, Louisiana, to the late Julia Sam McCoy and the late Roscoe Peters.
She attended Wesley Ray School and was reared in the Harris Temple Church of God In Christ Church in Varnado, Louisiana.
She was married to the late Arthur Borner, Sr., and to this union four children were born; Beverly Borner Edmondson, Arthur Borner, Jr., Liborio Borner, and Brodrick "Kissy" Borner.
Sis. Borner was employed with the Nevada Test Site in Las Vegas, Nevada where she retired.
She returned to her hometown in the early 1980’s and became a permanent resident in the Varnado Community. She lived in the same house where she was reared on Sid Sam Road.
Sis Yvonne grew very fond of her Uncle Madison Peters who she spent a lot of time with when he and his wife moved back to the Angie community.
Sis Yvonne loved to shop! Her first stop shop was Macy's, but her favorite store was the famous "DIRT CHEAP". Even though she loved shopping, she loved blessing others with her gifts of love more than anything. She especially loved shopping for her grands, they were true to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia Sam McCoy and Roscoe Peters, and her only sibling, her older brother, Eugene McCoy, Jr.
She leaves her precious memories to her four children, Beverly Edmondson, Arthur "Artie" Borner, Jr., Liborio Borner, Brodrick "Kissy" Borner; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; her special friends, Mary Peters, Annie Mae Robinson, Mary Louise Smith, ViLee Fredrick, Evelyn Weary, Helen Weary, the late Mary Stewart, and the late Calvin D. Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Nolan Robinson - Officiating. Interment - Bogalusa Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
