Illegal Guns, Stolen Vehicles, Narcotics, Cash Found at Slidell Home

Eight illegally possessed firearms, $13, 200 in cash, and three stolen vehicles were among the items located during a search of a Slidell-area residence last week (July 30, 2025).

Detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, working with the Drug Enforcement Administration agents, executed a search warrant at a home in the 1400 Block of Denmark Court in Slidell. While searching the residence, detectives located and seized marijuana, THC edibles, ecstasy tablets containing methamphetamine, an assortment of drug paraphernalia and $13,200. They also located and seized eight unlawfully possessed firearms, two of which were reported stolen out of Gretna and New Orleans; and three stolen vehicles, a 2022 GMC Sierra with a swapped VIN number stolen out of Houston, a 2020 Mercedes GL stolen out of Jefferson Parish and a 2016 Mercedes G6A stolen out of New Orleans.

Ma'layja Williams, age 17, was at the residence when detectives arrived and was arrested after she was found removing drug evidence. She was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the charges of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana (felony), Obstruction of Justice (felony), and Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor).

Arrest warrants were obtained for two other residents of the home: 45-year-old William Williams, who is currently in custody in Jefferson Parish, and 42-year-old Demetra Williams, who was taken into custody August 6, 2025.

William Williams will be booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the following charges upon his release from Jefferson Parish: Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana (felony), Possession of Firearm if Carrying Concealed Weapon by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies (felony) – 8 counts, Illegal Carry of Weapons; Crime or CDS (felony) – 8 counts, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things over $25,000 (felony)- 3 counts, Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms (felony) – 2 counts, Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses-- (felony), Possession of Schedule II CDS - methamphetamine (Felony), Possession or Dealing in Unregistered Weapons (felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor) 

Demetra Williams will be booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the following charges: Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana (felony), Possession of Firearm if Carrying Concealed Weapon by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies (felony) – 8 counts, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things over $25,000 (felony)- 3 counts, Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms (felony) – 2 counts, Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses-- (felony), Possession of Schedule II CDS - methamphetamine (Felony), Possession or Dealing in Unregistered Weapons (felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
