At about 7:14 PM on July 13, 2025, the Bogalusa Police Department received 911 calls regarding a subject being shot in the 900 block of Ave G, Bogalusa La. Responding Officers learned that a white male sustained two gunshot wounds; he was immediately transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Detectives were notified and were able to determine what led to the shooting and identify the person responsible.
Warrants were obtained for 39 year-old Daniel King Brown for 1 count Attempted First Degree Murder, 1 count of Assault By Drive By Shooting, and 1 count of Illegal Use Of Weapons or Dangerous Instruments.
BPD asks the public’s assistance on the whereabouts of Daniel Brown. Please contact the Bogalusa Police Department at 985-732-3611 .
Brown may have ties to the Brookhaven, Mississippi area.
