Edna Rose Langston

October 28, 1937 - March 26, 2025

Edna Rose Langston, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on October 28, 1937, Edna lived a life filled with joy, creativity, and laughter. She had a passion for crafting and often found joy in the company of friends during her weekly bingo games.

Edna is survived by her devoted son, Bill (Denise) Langston, as well as her three daughters—Deborah (Odie) Hughes, Marie (Emile) Dloniak, and Angel (Kerry) Fontenot. She leaves behind a cherished legacy of grandchildren: Christa (Tony) Seal, Katrina (Josh) Mitchell, Odie (Katie) Hughes, Andy (Jill) Hughes, Zach (Michelle) Smith, Hannah (Zach) Vorenkamp, and Baylen (Jenna) Fontenot. Her family will also remember her great-grandchildren—Noah Smith, Nick (Madison) Smith, Jacob (Avery) Smith, Ava Mitchell, Leah Mitchell, Anniston Hughes, Falyn Hughes, Hampton Hughes, Natalie Seal, Myles Hughes, Andie Grace Hughes, Zane Smith, and Zander Smith—as well as her adorable great-great-grandchildren, Tilley Smith, Raelynn Smith, and two more arriving soon!

She has joined her late husband, William Langston, in eternal rest, along with her parents, Clifton and Laverne Boyles, and her sister, Francis Gouner.

In accordance with Edna's wishes, there will be a graveside service only at New Hope Cemetery in Crossroads, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on March 28, 2025., presided over by Bro. Chad Jenkins, and will be an intimate time to remember and celebrate Edna's life.
