Oliver Morris
October 9, 1957 - January 13, 2025

Oliver L. Morris was born on October 9, 1957 to the late Eugene and Nevale Morris. At a early age he attended Wesley Ray United Methodist Church and later went on to attend Center Baptist Church. Oliver attended Varnado High School and graduated in 1977. After graduating he went on to work for Ingalis Shipbuilding as well as Ocean Drilling, until Diamond Offshore took over. He continued to work for Diamond until 2015 in which he finally retired.
Oliver’s presence was impeccable. He had a passion for outdoor activities, helping others, and his loved ones.
He was affectionately know as “Hump” to family and most of his friends. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Oricka (E’Lon) Common, Sr. of Bogalusa, LA and Okesha (Donnell) Cooper of Denham Springs, LA; a son-in-law, Rondrck Dillon of Franklinton, LA; four grandchildren, O’layzha Morris, Ronmille Dillon, E’Lon Common, Jr., Ayden Dillon, and Chase Morris; four siblings, Robert Morris, Sr., Douglas (Tina) Morris, Patricia Allen, and Victona Banks; brother-in-law, Charles Banks; aunts, Ella Roberta, Geneva, Roz, Angela, Debra, and Anita; his special nephews, Terrance, Anthony, and Keith; his bonus parents, Leo (Sue) Stewart; several nieces, and nephews and a host of family and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his daughter, Sharonda Morris Dillon; his parents, Eugene and Nercile Morris; a brother, Dwight Morris and his grandparents, Lewis and Rebecca Harry, Herman and Oudia Morris.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 3:00PM - 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Terrence August - Officiating. Interment will be at the Bogalusa Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
